JOB SUMMARY
This is an entry-level administrative support position under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Tangible Personal Property. This position provides for the data entry of tangible personal property data into the BCPAO Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system. This position serves as support for other organizational functions related to this process.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Updates tangible data in the BCPAO CAMA system, from changes indicated on property record cards submitted by Appraisers.
  • Verifies permit information in the BCPAO CAMA system for commercial properties.
  • Researches business tax receipts to identify current and new businesses within the county.
  • Communicates with the Tax Collector’s Office in regard to business tax receipts and other correspondence.
  • Communicates with business owners and CPAs on matters related to personal property.
  • Verifies property records for accuracy and verifies information on printed data edits.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Two (2) years of data entry experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; frequently required to walk; and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, continuously lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
