JOB SUMMARY
This is an entry-level administrative support position under the direct supervision of the Manager of Field Operations. This position provides for the data entry of building information data into the BCPAO Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system in addition to the verification and inclusion of building permit information. This position serves as support for other organizational functions related to this process.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Updates building data in the BCPAO CAMA system, from changes indicated on field sheets submitted by Field Appraisers.
  • Enters and maintains permit information into the BCPAO CAMA system, for both commercial and residential properties.
  • Researches building permits that may be lost in translation between our office and local authorities.
  • Communicates with local municipalities to obtain and verify permit data.
  • Verifies property records for accuracy and verifies information on printed data edits.
  • Maintains property access letter records in order to schedule inspections.
  • Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
  • Two (2) years of data entry experience in an office environment preferred.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; frequently required to walk; and the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, continuously lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
